Wind to Hydrogen Project Awarded

Renaissance Engineering & Design is proud to announce that its client, Synthetic Energy, Inc., of Idaho, was awarded a $200,000 Farm Bill Grant to build a unique project generating hydrogen from wind energy. Renaissance performed the feasibility study along with USDA 9006 grant development work, which resulted in the project being selected for a grant award. The Synthetic Energy grant amounts to 25% of the $800,000 total Wind-to-Hydrogen project's costs.

Renaissance is the project engineer on that development and construction began in fall of 2005 with anticipated completion in early 2006. This project is unique in its ability to provide high purity commercial grade hydrogen to industry.
